Breaking Traditions

I just read on the Black Friday website that Michael's is going to be open Thanksgiving night for the first time ever. The hours to be 6pm to 9pm. I don't know what the sale items will be, they are keeping it quiet but it's supposed to be really good. Hmmmm, now do we break tradition and go shopping or stay home and spend time with family...

  1. Years ago when I lived in IL and it was just me and hubby (no other family) we would go to the movies. I worked retail for years and now avoid black friday at all costs. Not sure if I'm ready for Black Thursday. Although... since it's just Michael's and the guys are probably all watching football or napping due to turkey-coma, I could probably slip out unnoticed. :o) LOL

  3. Anonymous, after writing this, I was told by a Michael's employee that the Thursday night sale was not going to be all that great, to wait and come Friday because the cartridges would be $29.99 then...oh well, we'll soon find out. ~Linda

  4. I see two messages here... one says the sale is Thanksgiving Day. The other says it's Black Friday.
Splitcoast has a thread that says it's Thanksgiving Day too: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=396833

Maybe as we get closer we'll find out for sure!
