Design Studio - New Feature #2

I got a chance to play with the new version of the Cricut Design Studio that works with Vista 64. In the example below, let's pretend that I want to cut the elf only and not the gift that is part of this cut. I can click on the gift, line by line, meaning that I can take away all or only some of it, then right click and click on 'Hide Selected Contour' to remove the highlighted section piece by piece. Now when I cut, I'll only cut the elf. Cool huh.

  6. Linda, I always look forward to your posts. Fantastic job! I cannot wait for the new updates, which will be both for the 32 bit and now the 64 bit users, correct? That makes DS incredible and I'm sure the folks at PC will be bringing us more!

    Happy Thanksgiving to all,

  10. oh thank you for sharing this! i am so excited for this update! I bought a new laptop a couple months ago and was SO disappointed when i realized I couldn't use it because it has 64... Have you tried this feature with any of the "Speaking of..." carts? i hope this works with these, i would be more inclined to buy them!

  11. Wow....it's about freaking time for that feature! And I'm not talking about the 64-bit -- that's long overdue. But they should have done the "exclude" thing from the beginning. Thanks for breaking the news!

  14. Jean, they (Provocraft) are promising an update any day now BUT as we all know only too well, PC is not known for their timeliness so we'll just have to wait and see....and yes, it will be a free download to anyone already owning Design Studio. ~Linda
