Elmer's GIVE-A-WAY

*********** CONTEST CLOSED ****************

About a month ago I was contacted by a representative of Elmer's glue with an offer for me and my readers, and knowing that crafters adore freebies, I was more than happy to accept! I've posted pictures below of the wonderful package that I received.

Is this not awesome!! Some of the products I knew about and currently use like the X-ACTO Knives (didn't realize they were Elmer's products), gotta love the pink handles!! and the Elmer’s Craft Bond Adhesives, I use the repositionable stick to restore my Cricut mat's stickiness but I didn't know about the Elmer’s Painters Markers so I am super excited to give those a try. Everything in the box came in twos, so I have donated one of each to a local elementary school and will play with the rest.

Now here's how you come in. Leave a comment below telling us how you would use this freebie box and on August 1st we'll randomly pull from the comments a winner to receive their own goody box from Elmer's. (When leaving your comment, be sure to leave your email address so we can contact you if your number is pulled.) WooHoo!

Elmer’s Crafters Gift Pack

Can't wait to try these!!

The big stick is great for restoring your tired Cricut mats.

  1. My children and I scrapbook together. It has been very therapeutic to scrap the good times after so many bad ones lately. I would use this to scrap with them. If it was up to them, they'd scrap all day every day but can you imagine the adhesive we'd use....With a package like this, we could scrap for a long time without anyone feeling bad because they ran out of "their" glue/adhesive.

    My email is faithfule@dsignercreations.com.

Thanks to you and Elmer's for this.

  2. The glue stick and glue pen packages alone are worth trying to win the box of goodies. I homeschool my twin boys, Luke and Kyle. They are going into the 2nd grade this fall. We go through so many glue sticks in a school year, that I've considered buying a case of them each August!

I think your idea is a great one, keep half and share half- our rec center has a summer camp program running now, come school time it will have an after school program. 18. I work for a very small non-profit organization called YouthBuild. We help at risk-youth in our area obtain their GED's while building two houses for low-income families over the course of one year. We live in a very impoverished community, where drugs are a very rapid problem starting in Elementary school. My position with this WONDERFUL program is I am the education coordinator, I obtained 6 out of 10 GED's last year. We are about to begin our second cycle of students starting Monday. I am also an avid scrapper, and usually end up donating half of my personal supplies to my job. If I was to win this wonderful assortment it would help stretch my educational budget abbudantantly. I sincerely appreciate the consideration. If you would like to learn more about our program please visit us at youthbuildhazard.org or youthbuild.org and search for Hazard. Thanks so much! I would use the package with some of the local Girl Scout troops in my community. So many times Girl Scout leaders use their own money to buy supplies for the troops until money is raised within the troop. This goodie box could be used by several troops. The high school troop has made cards that are sent to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan for them to use to send back to their families, i.e. birthday cards and anniversary cards. Glue sticks are always in demand by leaders of all age girls.

This is a great opportunity. Thank you for taking the time to contact Elmers.

  22. I've used some of the products and really liked them. This fall I plan to work as a homework helper at my local library. I'm sure the kids would enjoy using them to complete projects. Maybe I could talk the library into letting me do a card making workshop for the kids one Saturday. Gee, the teacher in me just can't be quiet. I often help my nephew with projects. He enjoys using my materials and I'm sure these will be a hit!

My son who is 3 stamp and scrapbook with me, we use Elmer's glue.

When I was little I did craft projects with my mother, and we used Elmer's glue. As I am older and have a son I continue the tradition and use Elmer's glue with him for all our craft projects.

Even now my mom uses Elmer's glue in her classroom as a teacher.

If choosen I will donate 1/2 or better of the items to my daughters preschool (St. Mark). My family donates extra supplies every year as they have many children who's families just can not afford everything the children need. Good luck to everyone. I hope that whom ever wins puts the items to good use and is generous with their gift.

  40. Wow...this would be an awesome box to receive! I have so many irons in the fire at once when it comes to crafting. Between scrapbooking for myself and my other family members, the glue and adhesives would be very handy (especially since I am currently on the hunt for a new adhesive - long story). And, since I am a Cricut user, the exacto would be great for helping with those tiny intricate cuts that don't quite make it! And then there are the markers...oh the possibilities!! Between doodling on my pages and drawing with my toddler, the budding artist, they would be put to good use!

  70. As the librarian in an elementary school I can think of MANY ways that I can use the goodies in this package. Our school is located in rural SC in on of the highest unemployment areas in the entire nation. As a result, our budgets are very small and we worl hard to strech them as far as we can. As a crafter, I work hard all year long to make the library an inviting place to visit by creating signs and displays to catch the children's interest and encourage them to pick up a book. If I can ever "hook" a child on reading he/she is on their way to a lifetime of learning and enjoyment which can have far-reaching effects. I would love to add the goodies in the package to my stash of supplies as well as share them with our art teacher, and others who can use them.

I also am the card maker and cake maker for all the birthdays and my work. It makes me feel good to share with others. I wish everyone the best of luck at winning this package. 96. I have a coworker (Ruby) who is even more involved with scrapbooking than I am. Aside from her own personal scrapbooking she does our monthly calender board at work. That calender board is an important events board of employees like employee work anniversary dates, weddings and birthdays, to name a few. She decorates the board giving the different seasons of each month (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines, Dog Days of Summer). She does this, for the most part out of her own pocket. As I know she really could use all of these great items, I would give this all to her. Linda

  99. Who doesn't know about Elmer's glue? It has been around what seems forever. Haven't we depended on Elmer's ever since we were in elementary school? My mom purchased me a brand new bottle every August to go in my new school box. I always eagerly looked forward to opening it and using for the first time. It has always accompanied any craft project I have had and now, even more than ever with all the different supplies and products they carry. After purchasing Elmer's glue for my sons school box for 12 years, I look forward to purchasing it for my grandchildren. Elmer's glue and their products have a heritage in my family! What a great prize this would be for me!

  168. I would love to win this set of "stuff" from Elmers. When an embellishment doesn't stick on some of the cards I make, I grab my Elmers because I know it will. My daughter and I both scrapbook and make cards, so I will share these with her! Thanks for this chance. Peg - fresh56@awsllc.net

  169. What an awesome assortment! I have a cadet girl scout troop that would benefit so much from products like these! They are working on their silver project - they do holiday decorations for a local nursing home and help with advertising for the local animal shelter - these products would benefit the troop and their charities so much!

  170. I'm obsessed with scrapbooking. Since I am a mother of young boys they are constantly wanting to be hands on! As a result of this they love to scrapbook and craft! They love to use all the tools and glue is a fav of theirs. So that is how I would use my goodie box. I'd share it and teach my boys to scrap their memories...and to understand the obsession when their wives do it!

  171. WOW! How exciting would it be to receive a box of these goodies!!! I am a mother of 5 children and also work 3 days a week teaching 2 yr olds at our church preschool. All of my children enjoy scrapping, incuding the only boy. I would divide these items between us all so we could do some scrappin'. It has been a long time since we have worked on our albums together so what better a way to start back up than with some NEW supplies. Thanks to you and ELMERS for being so generous!

We have in the past made book marksers, ornaments etc. I would let the children use these supplies to complete there project. We ususally do any where from 1-3 thousand in one day!

  190. This is awesome! With this many supplies, my mom, myself and my daughters won't run out of glue for a long time! We try to get together at least once a month and scrapbook, make cards, make cards for soldiers and catch up. We are always sharing one x-acto knife so a second one would be great! 191. After reading all of the submissions, I feel rather guilty for submitting my name. I'm a brand new scrapper and I am a little overwhelmed with so many experienced scrappers around. I appreciate the opportunity to know more about the products available.
So, I'll just go with what my father always said "You can't win, if you don't play".

I would share these products with them of course. My kids deserve quality products just like me!

  199. Wow! What a great assortment of goodies! What would I do with these supplies... Well, first, I would probably glue my hands together! Lol- well, maybe not first, but it is inevitable!! I like to do a lot of papering wooden objects and then embellish them with flowers, birds, rhinestones and the like. So glue would definitely come in handy for that!
