Life's A Beach - The Missing Row

Summer a Time 4 Fun
Click HERE to download a title file that can be cut with your Cricut and Design Studio. It is grouped so you can change the size to fit your needs by grabbing and dragging the bottom right handle, just remember if you change the size to also change the embellishments to also match so they fit correctly. Cartridges used are Life's A Beach and Cuttin Up, two of my favorites!

Get Organized! (can you believe it's almost the end of June!)
End of the month things to do:
* Turn in any undeveloped rolls of film for processing,upload your digitals for processing, or if you print at home, get it done. Don't let pictures pile up.
* Sort through the embellishments on your workspace. Put like items together, even if they're different colors. Toss scraps of ribbon or fiber too small to work with. File stickers and diecuts away. Clean up those pesky little bits that clutter your workspace.
* Finally, sort and file your papers. Toss those smaller than a half sheet in size or use them now to make up a card.

Next Design Studio Class - Thursday July 2nd
There's still room so won't YOU join us! The next Design Studio Class is Thursday July 2nd at Archiver's in Marietta, GA. The cost is $25. Class begins at 9:30 AM and is over by 2:30 PM (you can arrive and set up as early as 8 AM.)
The class will be projected onto the wall for easy viewing HOWEVER this is a hands-on class so we welcome and encourage you to bring a laptop with Design Studio Version 1.0.21104.0 (or most current) installed, registered and latest firmware downloaded, your Cricut, a mat and cardstock.

Cutting Fabric with your Cricut
Someone asked me about cutting fabric on the Cricut. Well I've not tried it so didn't have an answer so I shot over to You Tube and did a search and sure 'nuf, there were a few zillion videos over there tagged with Cricut fabric. Layout: run tater run
Last one for tonight girls cause it's bedtime in Georgia! This is Run Tater Run. The title was made with the new Cricut cartridges Simply Sweet and Stand & Salute (the stars).
Layout: Stroller Wars
We had the twins at a park concert the other evening when both decided they wanted the same stroller. Daddy is a big Star Wars groupie so I thought I'd go with the theme. The Cricut cartridge used for the title was Life's A Beach and the charm feature but I cut off the top danglely thingies. Daddy will be so proud.
Well how cool is this!

Layouts: Free Spirit, A Swingin' Good Time and Millie
These 3 layouts were made with the new Cricut cartridge Lyrical Letters. The first one was AFTER the Design Studio update and all I can say is 'thank God'. With DS it only took one cut whereas with the other layouts the titles had to be cut out 2-3 times to get it right on the layout. If I had of known that DS was so close to getting updated then I would have waited on the titles especially the Millie one and welded it cause it looks kinda weird to me. Anyway, people if you don't have Design Studio then you just can not possibly know what you are missing or you'd run out and get it now!

The new Design Studio update is available with the NEW CARTRIDGES! Yay!! New cartridges added are Life is a Beach, Lyrical Letters, Hannah Montana, SpongeBob SquarePants, Stand and Salute, Simply Sweet, Jubilee and Stamping (Solution cartridge).
Now, if you already have Version 1.0.21104.0 of Design Studio, you only have to download the DesignStudio Font Packs. This update will NOT affect SCAL as you won't be updating the software, just adding cartridges.
