Cricut LITE Cartridges

The Hello Thursday email just came out. We can now see all the new LITE cartridges (and I do mean LITE) by clicking HERE....but...I have to say people....I just can't get excited over these. Do you guys not realize that there are fewer cuts on these cartridges than there are on the Solutions cartridges and they sell for $16-$19? Sorry to be a downer but 40 BUCKS for THIS? Seriously?

  1. I'm with you. They are cute, but not worth $40. And, being that they are exclusive to Wal-mart we will not see the drastic price reductions on these that we see on all the others in the open market.

  2. I was really disappointed with these. Forty dollars is the most I will spend for a full cartridge; it's too much for a cartridge with only 50 images!!! And, the images are not even that cute! It seems like Provo Craft has been aiming for quantity not quality with their latest cartridge releases.

  3. I agree! Not worth $40 for what is a mini cart. I'll wait until Wally's exclusivity ends and the price comes down. Like below $20 down. I want the cat cart, but not that bad. Waited this long, I can wait longer.

  4. I will not be buying these "Lite" carts in the near future unless the price is dropped. You can buy the summer carts for around $15 so why would I spend $40 for these carts when they really aren't very exciting.

  5. Me too.....I'll wait until the frenzy dies down and then buy them on ebay or elsewhere!!!

  6. Sorry to somewhat disagree, but I just had to have the Celebrate with Flourish cart, so I plunked down my $40 today and I am more than happy with my purchase. I looked closely at all the carts (my WM had the whole line!) and I couldn't see paying for any of the others, at that price, or even less (just didn't care for them). I guess there is a price and cart for all different scrappers out there.
    Have fun!

  7. Cute carts but $40 bucks is a rip off seriously. Honeslty if I had enough money for a laptop to use for myself I would by Make the Cut and be done with it. But that won't happen anytime soon so I will wait to buy these carts like I have my other carts. On E-bay and some other online sites for 15 to 25 bucks. I am a little disappointed in provo craft. Making a cart "exclusive" to a machine etc is just ridiculous. I always thought that they should sell all the carts. But that is just my opinion.

  8. I agree with everyone about the price being too high. The worst part for me is that they have made these exclusive to Walmart. I have 3 Walmarts within an hours drive from my house. I see lots of stuff on the blogs from people showing all sorts of wonderful things for sale in LSS, Walmart etc. Unfortunately I can hardly ever find any of these things at the stores mentioned. They just are not carrying these things. I have to find all my purchases on the internet.

  9. I wish the price were lower too! I am on a budget and paying $40 is my top dollar for a full cartridge, so these will not be worth the price to me. I find my best deals on eBay and hopefully in time, these will make it there for a better price!

With money being tight for some many families these days, I am very disappointed in PC for now coming out with a better price for us 'frugal' shoppers!! Bummer!!

  10. I'm right there with you on this one. There are a few cute cartridges, but not a single "must have" in the bunch for me. So I will wait. There are some that I would buy at the right price - but that price is NOT $40.

  11. $40.00 is almost ridiculous. The Summer cartridges are only $25.00 on the Provocraft website and EVERYTHING is more expensive there than it is at retailers. It's almost like they are charging an extra $15.00 because it comes in a box. I'd rather have the Solutions packaging and the lower price. I found about 7 of the "Lite" cartridges that I think I would used but not for the $280.00 I'd have to spend to get them! I'm disappointed to say the least.

  12. Well I just bought Celebrate with Flourish and Block party. $40 is a lot but I just think they are nice and so I bit the bullet. I'm getting ready to cut things with them and see. Yes, I would like to get them cheaper and no we don't need boxes. I don't even use my boxes. Maybe the prices will come down so I can get more.

  13. I bought MEOW, I just had a chance to make a cut and I must agree with the others. It's not worth 40 bucks.

  14. And how many carts do we have to have with owls and birds on them???? Sheesh!

  15. I agree!! $40 is way too much!! And I can't believe what people are paying on ebay!! Also, if the Lite carts are exclusive to walmart how the heck are people getting them to sell on ebay?? I love my Cricut but somebody needs to remember some of us are still in a recession and can't afford to pay this much for carts! Thanks for letting me vent! :-)

  16. You can buy them at walmart.com. I guess not everybody knows that so they resort to the outrageous prices on Ebay. ~Linda

  17. I feel the same way about the Cricut Lite Carts, I think they should sale for $15.00 at the most because they aren't worth $40.00 when you can purchase a regular Cricut Cart for that price with more on it!
