The Moral to the Story

Picturesque was exclusive to Home Depot (of all places) when it was first released. Ebayer's went crazy and were paying around $200 for it. You can now buy it right from Cricut.com for $69.

The moral to the story? All you gals that are paying $39 for the lite cartridge and even more for the newer full cartridges, WAIT! Your pocketbook will thank you!

  1. I completely agree, Linda! I have set myself a limit of $25 or less per cartridge (including shipping) and can usually keep it at $20. Last month I bought Heritage, Sweet Treats, Destinations, Pagoda & Forever Young sticking to my limit. Patience is so worth it!

  2. I've never bought directly from Cricut. How are they on shipping? I bet you'll be able to get it elsewhere for cheaper if you wait further.

  3. I love your advice. I try not to pay over $25 for even the full-sized carts. I'm resisting the Lite carts, because the $39 price is just crazy, but I admit, it's hard to wait. It can't be long before they are sold outside of Walmart, at least I wouldn't think :)

  5. Mary, I'm sure you could. If this one is like all the others, it will be selling for a third of that before long. Patience pays! ~Linda

  7. YES it is good to wait. I haven't purchased any of the lite cartridges yet.

  8. I totally agree. I think $39 is crazy. I have paid that for a new full cartridge. And frankly I think alot of the images on the Lites are repeats or close to others. A few are different. The only one I really want is Wild Life because I live with 2 hunters and fisherman. I will wait patiently....

  9. Just ordered Picturesque at cricut.com. Thanks for the heads up it looks like an awesome cartridge. Shipping was spendy, but oh, well. Dawn, you're right, the Lites have lots of repeats on them, but still had to have a couple of them. I can't see Wal-Mart reducing prices very quickly, but will wait on anymore. Every time I say "enough" I see something new that I need to have! Do you think the Picturesque is really going to be very limited? Linda

  10. Where do you find carts for $25.00 including shipping?? The cheapest I've ever found for a full cart was on cricutmachine.com for a special sale and it was about $27.60.

However I just jumped in on MTC and should never have to buy a cart again unless it is just spectacular and i want every single cut!!

  13. Hmm, haven't seen prices that low, except cricutmachine has all cartridges for $29.95 with $5 shipping right now. And I was just at Hallmarkscrapbook.com and able to order a few of the new cartridges (country life and Winter Frolic, couldn't wait!) for $36.99, and shipping was reasonable. Now I wonder what the new cricut machine is all about.
