I love the look of stitches on my layouts. To get that look I've used a real sewing machine, one of those tiny sewing machines made for paper (junk), stencils and rub-ons. I didn't care for most of the results. So when I saw that
We R Memory Keepers was introducing a new way to sew on your cards and layouts I was excited. I can't wait to try them! What do you guys think? Is it worth a try?
How about...you buy it, try it out, make a video then share it with us. LOL! I am so attracted to new tools/toys. I love, love, love them. I buy so much of it only to find out it is not really so hot. I am going to wait for someone else to try it out.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I so know what you mean. Since I first started scrapbooking, I have really thinned out my stash. I'm no longer a collector, I actually use my stuff (most of it anyway) so I really think over a purchase before making it to be sure I'll really use it. =D
ReplyDeleteOh man! I'm sold! Where do I get it at??? :)
ReplyDeleteTraciVee, They are due out October-ish. You should be able to get them anywhere that sells We R Memorykeepers products. Don't you just love the concept. I'm thinking after punching the holes, you might even be able to draw the stitches with a marker. =D
ReplyDeleteI used these at CHA and they were fabulous! They don't pierce the paper, just make dents as a guide. They were one of my favorite products from CHA.
ReplyDeleteMandy, do you think if you did it on a mouse pad it would pierce? (being they call it a piercer)~Linda
ReplyDeleteHmm...it doesn't pierce? I'm still intrigued...but that would mean the extra step of piercing the paper before threading floss through.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of thte tools- when I first saw it in sneaks, I thought - what a great idea! Would love to see it in action.
I found some better pictures here: http://www.weronthenet.com/sew_easy
ReplyDeleteSo now I'm confused...the packing clearly states "The rotary stitch piercer creates perfectly aligned holes that can easily be stitched up."....does it pierce or not?
ReplyDeleteI love the concept and the price is great! It would be easier to store than all the sewing machines due to the small size. I just would want to make triple sure that it did really pierce the papers including heavier cardstocks. I already have the CM piercing kit so I am already hand piercing and hand sewing, but if this really does pierce the paper with just a swipe across the page, sign me up! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that's so cool...IF it works. Reasonably priced too.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds really cool, but I'm not sure that I want to hand stitch it every time....
ReplyDeleteYes, the tool does pierce! It really is a time saver. And the results are really cute! The floss colors are really gorgeous too.
