What would you recommend, MTC or SCAL? I want to hop on it but am not sure...
What machine are you using to cut? If Cricut, you'll have to get SCAL because MTC will not cut to the Cricut anymore. ~Linda
I thought the lawsuit for the MTC was due to the fact that the software allowed a person to take copies of the cuts on a cartridge and save that information on your computer and then you didn't need the cartridge. SCAL was not involved in that. As I understand, please do corrcet me if I am wrong. You wont be able to use the soft ware with the new Imagine and the Expression 2 because these are Wi Fi to avaoid you being able to hook up your computer. If I have misunderstood any of this please correct me.
Okay, I have just stopped over to SCAL and I was wrong, provo craft, which has been sold to a new company. That company has a lawsuit against SCAL. I can't believe it! I know they are trying everything to keep you buying their cartridges exclusively, but to not work with other companies, to me makes them look bad. I read if you have those softwares and have the expression, original cricut or cricut create you can continue to use the software with them. This wouldn't continue if you update your software and I don't know if you do updates on your expression???? Do you know?~Julie
Julie, I will continue to do updates with PC on my desktop, but my laptop, no no no, that's where MTC lives, I will not be updating my laptop. When I want to cut with a cartridge, desktop, when I want to cut with MTC, laptop. Problem solved. =D
Linda, that is a wonderful idea. I have both to and that would make an easy resolution. Thanks for sharing. Do you have just the expression for a cutter? Or have you tried any of the others? I was just curious what you thought of any other cutter if you have?~Julie
I have the E and the Imagine. =D
