Cartridge Storage

Check out this cool idea for cartridge storage that I found at Memory Miser. (Who by the way has them on sale!)

So how do you store your cartridges? Mine are in the original packages on a book shelf in alphabetical order. When I go to crops, I carry just the cartridges that I think I might need in a ziploc bag. So what about you? And if you use something like this, what do you do with the boxes that the cartridges came in? I just can't imagine throwing them out. =\

  1. I used to carry them around in a crate then after getting a Gypsy there was not need except I did want the booklets for referral sometimes. This wonderful storage system from Okie's blog was a little time consuming but pretty simple and has proven fantastic. Several of my cropping friends have also made their own versions of Okie's system.

  3. I also store mine alphabetically on my shelf in photo boxes since I cannot throw away the box either. I use my Gypsy and my Create at crops.

It is really nice minimalist storage though.

  4. I store mine in Snap N Stack Ribbon Storage boxes from the Container Store. VERY portable. The cartridges go in alpha order in the smaller top bin and the booklets are alpha'd in the bottom larger bin. Actually, I have snapped together a top and two bottoms to hold all my cartridges and booklets. Works great for me.

  5. Oh, I keep the original boxes in my empty Expression box in the attic.
My Snap N Stack boxes plus a binder with your image index in it - and I am set for a crop!!

  6. I have mine all in a case made my CGull. I bought the cartridge storage case (which holds 72 carts and overlays/books) and I bought the matching expressions bag. I got both from cricutmachine.com when they were having a sale. I had 2 of these storage cases from memory miser but I liked the CGull one better so I cancelled my backorder from MM. Just like mom2h, I keep my empty boxes in my expressions box in the attic... and another box since I have so many now haha! when I go to craft circles, I just take my gypsy and we all share what we've got :)

  7. Right now I use the Snap n Stack storage boxes as well and store my boxes in my Expression and Imagine boxes. I'm thinking about moving them to this system: http://www.artbin.com/crafts/default.asp?p=Details&c=&i=6945AB but I also like this: http://www.cricutmachine.com/product_info.php?products_id=678 which I think is the same as the one you posted, just different design. :)

  8. I've got mine in quart size zip bags in alphabetical order on my clip-it-up stand. I have considered several of these types of storage binders and I just can't see spending $30/ for just storing 12 carts. I keep hoping someone will come up with something more to my liking for much less...one day maybe. The clip-it-up is working for now even though it is stuffed with over 100 cartriges and books. Boxes? I have repurposed them as gift boxes and have even recycled some! (gasp!) I know! I just can't stand having them stacked up taking up space I don't have! LOL!
